What should a wedding photography agreement say about backup and file retention?

Answer

Direct answer

Specify how files are protected, how long originals and finished work are retained and when the couple must download their copies.

Ask about recovery after equipment failure, lost storage or accidental deletion, without assuming any backup eliminates all risk. Confirm who can access private media and how galleries are closed. Keep your own protected copies after delivery. A link that works on collection day is not a promise of permanent hosting, and an undefined retention period can leave expectations unresolved.
