Digital matchmaking security tips for direct family-to-family rishta search

Weddme gives families tools to control visibility, protect contact details, compare profiles carefully, and report concerns. The safest matrimonial search still depends on patient family review and personal verification.

Family safety basics

Use Weddme with clear expectations and careful verification

Before contacting a family, compare the full profile and use public discovery pages such as city-wise rishta profiles, education-wise profiles, and profession-wise profiles to understand the available proposal mix. These digital matchmaking security tips apply whether the search begins from a website, mobile app, family referral, or online marriage proposal Pakistan search.

Control what families can see

Weddme profiles are designed with privacy controls for public visibility, contact visibility, and interaction settings. Families should share sensitive details only when they feel comfortable.

Keep conversations respectful

A good rishta conversation should be clear, patient, and family-led. Avoid pressure, rushed decisions, or sharing private documents before trust is established.

Verify personally before meeting

Weddme provides the platform, but families must verify identity, family background, and proposal details themselves before meetings or commitments.

Report suspicious behavior

Users can report profiles or contact support when something feels wrong. Reports help moderation review harmful, misleading, or disrespectful activity.

Block profiles when needed

Families can block a profile when they do not want further contact from that user. Blocking helps keep the experience respectful and gives families more control over uncomfortable or unwanted interactions.

Turn off incoming interactions

A user can choose not to allow others to start an interaction with their profile. When this setting is off, other users cannot send the first message or show interest, while the user can still contact suitable profiles by their own choice.

Practical checklist

Before a family meeting or serious commitment

  • Verify identity, family background, and basic details outside the platform.
  • Keep early conversations respectful and avoid emotional or financial pressure.
  • Do not share money, private documents, or sensitive images with unknown people.
  • Meet in a family-appropriate setting and involve trusted guardians where relevant.
  • Use Weddme reporting and support channels if anything feels misleading or unsafe.
Child safety standards

Zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation

Weddme is an adults-only matrimonial service. Users must be at least 18 years old. We prohibit child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE), child sexual abuse material (CSAM), grooming, sextortion, trafficking, sexualisation of minors, and any content or conduct that exploits or endangers a child.

How to report a concern

In the Weddme app, open the relevant profile, select Report Profile, and choose Underage User, Inappropriate Photos, or another appropriate reason. Users may also contact our child safety team at [email protected].

How Weddme responds

We review child-safety reports and take appropriate action when we obtain actual knowledge of prohibited content or conduct. Action may include restricting or removing content, suspending or terminating accounts, preserving information where legally required, and cooperating with lawful investigations.

CSAM and legal reporting

We remove confirmed CSAM and maintain a process to report it to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children or the relevant regional authority, as required by applicable law. Anyone who believes a child is in immediate danger should contact local emergency services or law enforcement first.

Child safety point of contact

Google Play, law-enforcement agencies, child-safety organisations, parents, guardians, and users may contact Weddme at [email protected] about potential CSAE or CSAM on the platform.
