How do a lehenga's cut and can-can lining affect sitting and walking?
Last reviewed:
Direct answer
A fuller cut or stiff can-can layer can increase skirt volume while changing how easily the wearer sits and walks.
Try the complete lehenga with its intended underlayers and shoes, not just the outer skirt held at the waist. Sit in a chair, step forward and check whether the lining catches, scratches or pushes the hem outward. Ask the tailor which supporting layers can be softened or removed without changing the agreed silhouette. A photograph alone cannot establish comfortable movement.
