How can a bride judge the weight of an embellished outfit before ordering it?
Last reviewed:
Direct answer
Judge the weight of the complete outfit, including its dupatta, lining and embellishments, rather than the fabric sample alone.
Ask the seller to show a finished garment with comparable work and, if possible, record its weight. Wear it long enough to test standing, sitting and lifting the arms; discomfort may come from where weight is supported, not only the total. Agree on any lighter construction before paying. There is no single safe or comfortable bridal-outfit weight that suits every wearer.
