Financial stability is a recurring consideration in spouse-selection research because marriage creates continuing costs for housing, food, transport, children and care. Yet Pakistan has no nationally representative percentage showing how many people rank income first, and “stability” is not the same as a high salary. Regional studies must not be generalized nationwide. A sound interpretation separates current earnings from job continuity, debt, dependants, spending expectations and willingness to share decisions; those factors can matter more to household resilience than a claimed monthly figure.
