Can Nikah and Rukhsati take place on different dates?

Yes. Nikah creates the marriage, while rukhsati is the social transition in which the bride leaves for the marital home; Pakistani law does not require both to occur on the same day. Families sometimes separate them for education, housing, immigration, finances or event planning. The gap should not create ambiguity about legal status: registration, dower, contact, expenses and the intended rukhsati timeline should be clear. Once nikah has occurred, the couple is married even if public celebrations or co-residence happen later.
