Who should be the single event-day contact when both families have many organisers?

Direct answer
Choose one agreed event coordinator with clear authority and a backup, while keeping the couple's personal decisions with the couple.
Give suppliers the same contact and explain which changes require family or venue approval. Share a concise schedule and escalation route before setup begins. Several helpful relatives can still own specific tasks, but conflicting instructions should return to the coordinator. A named contact works only if everyone understands their limits; it is not permission to override consent, safety requirements or the contracted services.
