How did recent internet use differ across Pakistan’s provinces in HIES 2024–25?
Last reviewed:
Direct answer
HIES 2024–25 found that 60% of people aged 10 and above in Punjab had used the internet during the previous three months. The comparable shares were 56% in Sindh, 56% in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and 44% in Balochistan, against 57% nationally. Provincial totals also conceal urban, rural and gender differences. Internet use indicates who may be reachable online; it does not show who uses matrimonial services, how regularly they search or whether family members manage access.
