Who should have access to a wedding gift list?

Direct answer
Limit a gift list to the recipients and the people who need it for collection, records or acknowledgements.
Keep values, payment details and addresses out of broadly shared versions. If someone helps write thank-you notes, share only the relevant names and gifts rather than the entire financial record. Protect a backup and decide when unnecessary copies will be removed. Privacy principles are useful for a family list even where a particular foreign data-protection law does not apply to that household.
