What should a catering quotation say about drinking water and ice?
Last reviewed:
Direct answer
The quotation should specify the source, quantity and service of drinking water and ice, including responsibility for safe handling.
Ask whether provision is included throughout the event or only with the meal, and who monitors refills or replaces an unsuitable supply. Clarify the containers and storage arrangements with the caterer. Do not judge water or ice safety solely by appearance. An inclusive beverage label is not enough if guests cannot obtain safe drinking water when queues, heat or delayed service increase demand.
