Wedding Attire

What is the difference between renting a wedding outfit and buying it on a return agreement?

Answer

Direct answer

Rental gives temporary use of an outfit; a purchase with a return agreement is a different transaction whose refund terms must be explicit.

Ask who owns the garment, what payment is refundable and when it must be returned. Clarify alterations, cleaning, damage and late charges before paying. A seller calling a payment a deposit does not explain the whole arrangement. Keep the written terms and item identification, and do not assume ordinary retail returns apply to a garment hired for a wedding.
