What garment details should be photographed at handover to prevent later disputes?

Direct answer
Photograph the complete outfit, important finishes and any existing defects at the point of handover.
Include distinctive embroidery, closures, hems, accessories and the order or receipt reference without exposing private measurements publicly. Note who collected it and any work still outstanding. Use clear images that show condition rather than only flattering angles, and keep the seller's acknowledgement where possible. Photographs support a shared record, but they do not replace trying on the garment or agreeing unresolved acceptance issues.
