One overall urban-versus-rural percentage would mix populations with different age structures and could hide when those differences emerge. The survey’s parallel tables allow like-for-like comparisons of never-married, married, widowed, divorced, separated, and Nikkah categories. They describe population patterns without explaining why any particular household married earlier or later.
