Is premarital medical screening legally required in Pakistan?

Pakistan has no universal federal law requiring every couple to complete a standard premarital medical panel before nikah. Provincial measures can be narrower. Sindh’s thalassemia law establishes screening and counseling provisions, including consent protections and attention to relatives of affected patients, but it should not be described as a nationwide requirement for HIV, hepatitis, fertility and genetic testing. Requirements may change and can differ by jurisdiction or institution, so any claimed mandatory test should be checked against the current provincial law and official registration procedure.
