How do saved partner-age preferences change with age?

Last reviewed:

Answer

Direct answer

Own-age inclusion declined as profile age increased. It was 83.8% among profiles aged 18–24, 64.6% at 25–29, 53.1% at 30–34, and 32.4% at 45 and above. The median midpoint gap moved from 0.0 years in the youngest group to −9.0 years in the oldest. This is an unadjusted pattern that may overlap with gender, marital history, platform composition, and other characteristics; it does not show that age alone caused the change.
