How is the midpoint of a saved partner-age range calculated?

Answer

Direct answer

The midpoint is the center of the saved acceptable range, calculated by adding its minimum and maximum ages and dividing by two. A saved range of 26–30 has a midpoint of 28. The report then subtracts the profile holder’s age to obtain the midpoint gap. This is a summary measure for comparing ranges across profiles. It is not a selected target age and can hide whether the holder’s own age remains inside a broad range.
