What should be agreed when a wedding hall restricts outside caterers or decorators?
Last reviewed:
Direct answer
Confirm supplier restrictions, approved alternatives and every associated charge before hiring an outside caterer or decorator.
Ask who coordinates access, power, kitchen use, cleaning and damage responsibility, and whether the venue must approve the supplier's work. Put any exception into writing rather than relying on a salesperson's reassurance. Compare the total event cost after restrictions are applied. A separately hired vendor cannot safely promise access or facilities that the venue has not actually agreed to provide.
