Why can the same wedding outfit look different in daylight and warm indoor lighting?

Direct answer
The same outfit can appear different because the light source changes how its colour, texture and reflective details are seen.
Compare the actual garment in daylight and under lighting similar to the venue before deciding that two pieces match. Phone cameras and screen settings can introduce further differences, so a photograph is not a precise colour standard. Ask the seller to identify the approved shade and sample where matching matters. A colour that changes in appearance under different light is not, by itself, proof of a manufacturing defect.
