An unrestricted CNIC image should not be sent early in an online conversation. It exposes a permanent identity number, date information, photograph and signatures that may be reused for impersonation or social engineering. When identity evidence becomes appropriate, a consent-based check, supervised viewing or copy marked with the recipient, date and purpose is safer, with unnecessary fields masked. NADRA promotes user-controlled and granular data sharing. No genuine verification requires a password, biometric login, OTP or access to a PakID account.
