Extended family can be helpful once the prospective spouses know that a proposal exists and agree that wider checks or introductions would be useful. Relatives may know family history, provide practical context or help arrange meetings, but early circulation can turn a private possibility into a public commitment. Pakistani research shows that kin networks remain important without proving that every relative should participate. The smallest useful circle is usually safer, with wider involvement added only for a clear purpose and with consent from both sides.
