How can a couple decline staged performances or public games at their wedding?

Direct answer
Tell the organiser clearly which performances or games you do not want, and ask the announcer not to invite them on the day.
Explain the boundary before rehearsals or purchases are arranged, and nominate a trusted person to reinforce it if relatives persist. An alternative such as greetings or a simple entrance is optional, not something owed in exchange for declining. A wedding tradition should not require humiliation, unwanted touching or public participation. Consent remains necessary even when the activity is described as harmless fun.
