When does a formal suit need a different trouser length from traditional wedding wear?

Direct answer
A trouser hem should be fitted to its actual cut and shoes; a suit's desired trouser break need not match a churidar or shalwar.
Try the complete outfit and inspect the front, sides and back while standing naturally. Walk and sit to check that the hem neither drags nor catches. Tell the tailor the preferred appearance rather than requesting one standard length for every garment. Finalise it with the wedding shoes available, because a different sole or shoe shape can change how the hem falls.
