Direct answer

A single correction can be innocent; repeated changes to age, marital history, work, residence, education or family circumstances require the process to pause. The original and revised claims should be written down, explained directly and checked against independent records with consent. Moving forward because families are already involved creates more risk, not less. Evasion, anger at ordinary verification or a new emergency that demands money strengthens the warning. A proposal does not need to continue while core facts remain inconsistent, even when no single lie has yet been proven.
