The World Bank’s 2026 Pakistan profile scores legal frameworks at 46.68, supportive frameworks at 50.68 and enforcement perceptions at 27.35, each out of 100. It assesses institutions affecting women’s economic opportunities, not the quality of an individual marriage.

The main business city is Karachi and the legal cutoff is 1 October 2025. It therefore does not capture later 2026 provincial reforms. Methods differ from the 2024 pilot, so the scores are not a like-for-like improvement measure.
