How has men’s age at first marriage changed in recent Pakistan DHS surveys?

Among men aged 30–49, the median age at first marriage rose from 24.7 years in PDHS 2012–13 to 25.9 in PDHS 2017–18. Over the same interval, the share married by age 22 fell from 31% to 24%. This is solid evidence of later male marriage between those two survey waves. It is not a thirty-year male trend, because the earlier Pakistan DHS rounds did not collect the same men’s measure, and it does not predict when an individual man will marry.
