Why can’t marriage patterns from one Pakistani city represent another?

Direct answer
Every province, territory, major city, and rural or urban setting requires evidence specific to the claim being made. Pakistan’s regions differ greatly in population size, settlement patterns, education, connectivity, migration, and the composition of available samples. Data from Lahore, Islamabad, or Rawalpindi cannot stand in for Karachi, Peshawar, Quetta, rural districts, or an entire province. A local claim needs an adequate local denominator and a sampling method suited to that population.
