How should overtime, cleanup and security deposits be agreed for a wedding hall?

Agree extra-hour rates, cleaning responsibilities and security-deposit deductions before the event, including who may authorise additional work.

Record the venue's inspection and settlement process and when any balance or deposit return is due. Ask for itemised charges rather than an unexplained total after guests leave. Check that extensions are legally and operationally possible; paying overtime does not override official restrictions. A documented handover helps separate genuine additional work from services already included in the package.
