What documents should never be handed over casually during an overseas rishta process?

Direct answer
Original passports, CNIC or NICOP cards, immigration cards, bank records, blank signed forms, biometric credentials, tax documents and account login details should remain under the owner’s control. Even when a visa case becomes genuine, documents should go through the official portal, authorized professional or consular process, not an unverified relative or proposal contact. Copies should be limited, purpose-marked and masked where possible. No legitimate application requires another person to keep an OTP, password or unrestricted access to the applicant’s government account.
