A platform can reasonably verify control of a phone or email, consistency of identity information and selected credentials when it has secure access to an authoritative source. It should state exactly what each badge proves. Users and families still need to verify current marital status, employment circumstances, family claims, compatibility and behavior because those change or require context. A platform badge cannot establish good character or future intent. Verification responsibilities should be divided openly so neither side mistakes a technical check for a complete background investigation.
